Assign tasks and chat with the team

Tasks

1. In the web admin, open Tasks.
2. Create a task with a clear title, due time if needed, assignee, and any checklist or details.
3. Link the task to a shift or site when that helps the frontline find it in context.
4. Employees open Tasks on mobile, complete work, and update status.
5. Managers monitor open tasks and follow up on overdue items.

If the list is empty, create the first task from the web app. Mobile is optimized for completing work, not for org-wide task administration.

Team chat

Chat supports team channels and direct conversations. Admins typically create channels from the web app. Employees participate from mobile Chat.

1. On web, open Chat (or Messages, depending on your navigation) and create a channel for a site, crew, or topic.
2. Add the right members. Avoid putting the whole company in every channel.
3. On mobile, open Chat to read and reply. Start a direct message when a private thread is enough.
4. Use announcements separately when you need org-wide broadcast rather than a discussion thread.
